Forsyth County
Cumming, Georgia

Forsyth County chose Vertical Earth to construct the almost $15 million widening and re-alignment of Castleberry Road to improve traffic flow from south Forsyth to the City limits of Cumming. As a current winding two-lane county road, creating a 4-lane parkway with median through a heavily congested area with school traffic, subdivisions, and existing residences was a challenge that not all companies could successfully plan and execute. While moving almost 200,000 cubic yards of soil on site and importing an additional 100,000 cubic yards, constructing multiple culverts, and installing almost 3 miles of storm drain amidst the existing utilities required significant planning and supervision. Once completed, this roadway has proven to be a great asset to the community at large.
