Forsyth County
Cumming, Georgia

Forsyth County residents believe improving the quality of life in Forsyth will better its residents not only for the present, but for the future. As a part of this, residents voted for a $100 million park and greenspace bond. Both passive and active parks were a part of this overall plan. Sawnee Mountain has always been a landmark for the county, and through this initiative, Forsyth County chose Vertical Earth to construct its newest phase of the nature center, including approximately 7 miles of trails traversing the mountain crest in a loop system, additional parking, as well as a playground and passive center with pavilions. With this increased infrastructure, more residents may enjoy the natural beauty so prevalent in North Georgia.
