Summary:

Division: Atlanta, GA

To work with senior management and superintendents to oversee the day-to-day operations for civil construction projects from preconstruction through the close-out phase. This includes but is not limited to, procuring, scheduling, and the directing subcontractors and materials. The project manager must be able to construct projects in accordance with construction designs, plans, and specifications while complying with the established scope, schedule, and budget. The project manager must also be able to work with key stakeholders providing updates and resolution to project issues.

Key responsibilities:
  • Review and understand proposals, estimates, plans, specifications, permits, and related documents; analyzing labor, material, equipment, and time requirements.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with estimators, superintendents, operations manager, equipment manager on project management – materials, internal crews, subcontractors
  • Maintain continuous communication with customer, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Work with engineers, environmental teams, owners, vendors, suppliers, etc…
  • Work with superintendents regarding timely, proper, and safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintain project records on a daily basis
  • Creates monthly pay estimates and reviews/approves invoices
  • Create project schedules and work orders
  • Meet with owners and professionals as required
  • Responsible for timely completion of work assignments within the estimated costs while maintaining the company’s reputation for quality workmanship.
  • Report injuries and equipment damage to management.
Desired Skills/Experience:
  • Ability to extensively understand engineered drawings, blueprints
  • Aptitude with computers, internet, MS Office, Excel
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Easily adaptable to changes in a technology-driven environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or + 3 years of relevant experience
  • Sound understanding of safety guidelines
  • Strong organizational, professional, verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Knowledge of scheduling crews, subcontractors, and materials
  • Ability to identify project risks and collaborate resolution to challenges
  • Strong ability to lead a team and be a member of a team
  • Must have extensive experience with site development.
