We are seeking a seasoned technical leader to oversee the Technical Department and lead design-build pursuits across Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Florida. This role is responsible for setting technical strategies, advancing design-build capabilities, and supporting successful delivery of transportation construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Technical Department, promoting collaboration, innovation, and technical quality.
  • Serve as the technical lead for regional design-build pursuits.
  • Direct technical proposal development, design coordination, and engineering integration.
  • Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and construction teams to align design and execution.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with DOTs, engineering partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Assess technical risks, design options, and solutions to support competitive proposals.
  • Mentor and develop technical staff.
  • Monitor DOT standards, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
Desired Experience / Skills:
  • Extensive experience in transportation engineering, design-build delivery, or technical leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of roadways, bridges, or civil infrastructure design.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and complex technical efforts.
  • Strong communication skills and client-facing experience.

 

Preferred

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in one or more Southeastern states (preferred, not required).
  • Experience working with state DOTs in GA, SC, NC, TN, or FL.
  • Experience with design-build procurement or alternative delivery methods.
